At Champlain, you determine the type of campus living you would like to experience, and we help you by providing multiple options.
As a first-year student, you may choose to live in one of our Victorian-era residence halls. If you are an incoming first-year, visit the Housing To-Dos for instructions on your housing selection process.
If you are an upper-year student (sophomore, junior, or senior), you can choose to live in one of our beautifully restored Victorian mansions, our contemporary residence halls, or at 194 St. Paul, a deluxe apartment-style housing option a few blocks from central campus that provides students with a great introduction to apartment life.

Champlain College's optional themed housing gives students the opportunity to live within a community of other like-minded students. We offer gender-inclusive housing and substance-free housing.
Some residential buildings remain open during the break periods, while the rest of campus closes. This is useful for students who need to stay during break or who need to back from afar a day early. Students who need to stay but do not live in a building with Break Housing may borrow the room of a friend in a hall with break housing.
