How to Obtain Your Student Enrollment Verification Certificate

Students attending college frequently need to have their enrollment verified. Specifically, it is common for students to need proof of enrollment to be eligible for insurance coverage and student loan deferment. Please keep the following points in mind when requesting enrollment verification services:

The Advising and Registration Center is only able to verify a student's enrollment in a current semester or a semester in the past.

Students are verified as full-time if they are registered for 12 or more credits. Students carrying less than 12 credits are verified as part-time.

To conveniently serve Champlain College (CC) students around the clock, CC has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as its agent for verification of student enrollment status. You can obtain an official Enrollment Verification Certificate at any time via the Clearinghouse Web site at www.studentclearinghouse.org (or by calling 703-742-4200).

1. Go to: www.studentclearinghouse.org
2. Click on the Students tab
3. Click on EnrollmentVerify, then click Credit Card Purchase. There is a $2.50 per certificate, which you can charge to your Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card.
4. Print your Enrollment Verification Certificate. This Enrollment Verification Certificate can be presented to ski resorts, health insurance agencies, housing authorities, consumer product companies, banks, etc., when asked to provide official evidence of enrollment at Champlain College.

In addition, you can also receive an enrollment verification letter for free from the Advising & Registration Center, please drop by and fill out a request form, keeping in mind that requests are typically fulfilled within 48 hours, but may take up to a week at peak times of the year.
