The Fall 2008 semester marks the beginning of Tammie's third year as an instructor at Champlain College. She became Interim Director of the Applied Psychology Program in Summer 2008. Tammie has been emplyed in higher education in a variety of roles over the years: instructor, advisor, administrator, research assistant, admissions counselors, and intern mental health counselor. She also has much experience in the field as a human services professional and as a mental health counselor in private practice. Often, her work in mental health services and in education intertwined as she has served students in grades K-12, in collaboration with education professionals.
Tammie has completed her Ph.D. in Education: Leadership for Higher Education in Summer 2008. She also earned a Master's Degree in College Counseling & Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, an Associate Degree in HumanServices, and a Certificate in Basic Mediation. In addition, she serves on the Executive Board of Vermont Women in Higher Education, a division of the American Council on Education.
