Suggested Parent PLUS Loan Lenders

Like the Stafford Loan Program for students, Champlain College has provided a list of preferred lenders for the Parent PLUS Loan Program for families to consider based on a variety of criteria that include superior borrower benefits and customer service.

Champlain considered several factors when constructing its lender lists; we have highlighted some of the factors below:

• Lenders that provide superior borrower benefits to the parent
• Timely and responsive processing with excellent customer service
• Ease of application process
• Service to borrowers regarding default prevention
• Source and stability of capital used in providing loans

Please note that you are not required to use one of these lenders. The Financial Aid Office will process your loan with any lender you choose. Choosing a lender other than those suggested by Champlain will not cause unnecessary certification delays.
