Champlain College, Governor's Institute of Vermont: Summer Institute in Information Technology

A week-long summer program for high school students, June 20-June 28, 2009

Champlain College Governor's InstituteDid you ever wonder how code creates characters, how insight becomes a web site, or did you ever wish to dig into digital video or paint with pixels? If so, the Governor's Institute in Information Technology is for you. During our week-long program, you will explore computer fields as varied as web strategy and design, Photoshop, electronic game design, digital video, html and object-oriented programming. On Champlain College's campus in Burlington, Vermont, you'll work with state-of-the-art equipment and hardware and software you have dreamed of using.

Our goal is to think out of the box and have fun. We gain inspiration from electronic game-play and future technologies as described by science fiction writers. Evening events may involve anything from attending who-done-it mystery dinners to watching award-winning computer animations and playing miniature golf. The only prerequisite is to be willing to take a risk, jump in and explore. So join us on Champlain College's beautiful Burlington campus -- with a view of Lake Champlain -- for a week of mind games and summer fun.

We'll be updating this site with photos from previous sessions, so check back soon!
