Champlain College's Staff and Faculty Accomplishments Celebrated

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Champlain College celebrated its long-time employees, announced faculty promotions and awarded two top awards to faculty and staff on May 15 at a year-end dinner held at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center.

Champlain College President David F. Finney presented the following awards on Friday:
• Edward Phelps Lyman Professorship Award, which includes a $5,000 teaching stipend, to Associate Professor Susyn Dees, program director of the Radiology program.
• Elizabeth Durick Staff Service Award, which includes a $5,000 stipend, to Thomas Bonnette, director of the physical plant at Champlain College.
President Finney also announced the following faculty promotions at Champlain College:
• Professor: Robin Abramson and David Kite
• Associate Professor: Charles Amey, Ann DeMarle, Susyn Dees and James Hoag.
Staff Awards were presented to:
• Staff Council: Erin Meenan
• Innovation Award: Darlene McGrath
Longtime employee and faculty anniversaries were also noted:
• 35 Years: Diana Agusta, Thomas Bacon, Shelli Goldsweig and Dolly Shaw
• 30 Years: Barbara DuBois
• 25 Years: Lewis Barnes, Christina Dunphy and James Thorton
• 20 Years: Paul Dusini, Janice Gohm Webster, Peter Straube, Kenneth Wade and Cameron Webster
• 15 Years: Wayne Buttles, Bridget Calacci, James Ellefson, Jennifer Perlee and Carol Reynolds
• 10 Years: Brian Andrews, Cynthia Brandenburg, Leslie Carew, Ann DeMarle, Robert Green, Nancy Nahra, Julie Richard, John Rogate, Gary Savard and David Wolfe
• 5 Years: Warren Baker, Timothy Brookes, Sarah Cohen, Jennifer Colman, Julie Eldred, Kimberly Gillis, Robin Lane, Richard Long, Mark Milne, Craig Pepin, David Provost, Victor Stone, Cheryl Taylor and Kelly Thomas.
