Dealer.com Founder to Speak at Champlain

BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Speaking from Experience lecture series, sponsored by Champlain College's Bring Your Own Business (BYOBiz) Program, will present Michael Lane, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Dealer.com on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Hauke Family Center at Champlain College.

Dealer.comLane will talk about his innovative Burlington-based company that has experienced amazing growth since its creation in 1998. Dealer.com creates web-based marketing campaigns and supports thousands of online marketing solutions across North America for the automotive industry. The company is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 (growth) award and was listed in the 2007 Inc. 5000's "Fastest Growing Private Companies of America."

The Speaking from Experience" Fall/Winter 2008-2009 series of lectures and talks, opened with Alan Newman, founder of Magic Hat Brewing Co. speaking in October. All events are free and open to the public.

Looking ahead, the series includes talks with Rich Jr. and Jerry Tarrant, co-founders of mywebgrocer.com on Jan. 20; and Roy Heffernan COO (Chief Operating Optimist) of Life is Good in late January.
