The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lake Champlain Workforce Investment Board (WIB) are hosting the Reinvent Yourself Conference on March 23rd from 9:30am to 3 pm at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel & Conference Center. It is sponsored in part by Champlain College Division of Continuing Studies.

The Re-Invent Yourself! Conference is a free event targeting displaced workers and adult workers in transition. It's goal is to help attendees identify their transferable skills, convey information about career opportunities and skills needed in growing sectors, and provide the education and training resources to pursue new opportunities. The event will highlight top industry sectors including health care, IT, bio-science, green industry, manufacturing, telecommunications, and construction, and provide information around various career opportunities and the skill sets needed to pursue them.

The conference will feature workshops designed to help participants learn about growth industries in Vermont, pursue training & education and obtain related financial aid information. There will be numerous education and training providers on hand to provide resources and one-on-one meeting time with attendees. Ongoing career related workshops throughout the day include Guerilla Warfare in the Job Market, How to Go Back to School, and the Department of Labor's R.E.T.R.A.I.N. presentation.
