Academic Test for Mathematics
All programs of study require at least one math course. All students who are required to take College Algebra or Algebra & Trigonometry in any semester of their program should take the appropriate Challenge Exam during new-student Orientation.
Students who receive a grade of 70% or better on the Challenge Exam will receive a waiver (no credit given) for College Algebra or Algebra & Trigonometry. These students are encouraged to schedule a higher level math course but are free to choose any qualifying elective. This choice should be made in consultation with their advisor.
For more information or Challenge Exam review sheets, contact Scott Stevens at (802) 865-6448 or at stevens@champlain.edu.
