Caitlin Sweeney
Computer and Digital Forensics major
Vice President of the Digital Forensics Association
Primed and ready for the world of digital forensics
Her love of computers and criminal law made Caitlin Sweeney's decision to become a digital forensics major an easy one. "I love the major, and I've loved all of my classes. I have a deep interest in law," says Caitlin. She was Vice President of the Digital Forensics Association at Champlain her senior year, where she helped invite authors and government officials to speak as guest lecturers on the growing field of digital forensics.
Caitlin's keen interest in the field has been honed by her various internships, where she imaged hard drives, made boot disks, and recovered lost data files-all in a day's work for highly in-demand digital forensics examiners. "There's a great demand for examiners," she says. "Currently there is too much information and not enough people."
After graduation, Caitlin hopes to get a job at the Attorney General's office in Boston as a level one computer forensics examiner.
