Following her passion
When Courtney Konwinski first enrolled at Champlain College, she decided to study business. "Even though I had take a bunch of graphic design courses in high school, I figured business would be a safe course to follow. But when I took a graphic design course my freshman year at Champlain, I remembered how much I loved it." With the encouragement of her teachers and friends, Courtney switched her major to graphic design.
While honing her graphic design skills, Courtney interned during the summer at Northrop Grumman, a national contractor for the Department of Defense. Her design work there earned her a permanent job after graduation.
Courtney owes her growth in graphic design to program director David Lustgarten. "He's the best teacher anyone can have. He knows everything inside and out, and he'll push you hard. You end up becoming so much better for it."
