Business
Introduction
Champlain College's innovative approach allows you to build your own business degree specialty to fit your unique interests and needs. Participation in an internship, entrepreneurial projects and team-based activities with direct linkages to our business community help build a solid base in business fundamentals, while allowing you to learn from hands-on, "real-life" experiences.
With the help of an advisory board of business leaders, this program was developed to include a Business Core to teach you the skills you'll need to work in any enterprise, whether it is small, large, for-profit or nonprofit. You'll learn time-proven business and management skills including accounting, marketing, financial modeling and organizational behavior as well as new and exciting skills such as team leadership, Internet/information technologies, project management and creative problem solving.
Beyond the Business Core, you have the flexibility to customize your Business degree to truly match your unique interests by choosing two specialty areas from the following three:
- Human Resource Management
- Marketing
- International Business
Working in any business is a fun, creative process of experimentation and change. Whether you decide to use your new skills immediately in the job market or in graduate studies, you'll have the long-term career mobility that comes from a well-rounded business education. Your firm grasp of entry-level skills in two areas of your choice will help jump-start your career!
