Advising & Guidance

Career Services advisors use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and other self-discovery assessments to help students identify their values, interests, personality and skills. Through this exploration, individuals can focus on developing the skills needed to make more informed career and life choices. Further, internships enable students to explore career options, and some undergraduates take more than one to broaden or deepen their experience. Students also find our job posting system—one of a growing number of online services—a convenient way to take the initiative in pursuing work opportunities.

Our advisors also attend industry conferences and work with practitioner faculty to understand the current needs in specific areas. In every service, we strive to provide the personal touch: assistance with in-depth career and educational planning, exploration, management and job search campaign skills.
