Computer Information Technology
Do you have a passion for the world of computers, but you're not sure in which area you want to specialize? Then Champlain's Computer Information Technology program may be the right major for you. You're just in time. There is a huge demand for generalists, professionals who bring strong computer literacy to organizations both large and small, profit and non-profit.
As a Computer Information Technology major, you'll become skilled in multiple computer-related areas, including programming, Web design, networking technology, database design and application customization, project management and technical communication. You will be exposed to all areas of the field while you acquire specialized skills along the way.
By the time you graduate, you'll be prepared to work for an extraordinary range of organizations as a manager, technician or sole provider. Students will also be capable of working as computer and information systems managers in larger organizations. You will also have acquired a solid foundation with which to begin more specialized graduate studies.
