Public Relations
Are you a creative person? Do you see the world in unique and interesting ways? Are you interested in the politics, social issues, legal issues and ethics of electronic media communication? Do you want to be a part of one of the fastest growing and most rewarding professions in today's information-based, global economy?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you should consider studying Public Relations at Champlain College. This major blends theoretical and hands-on approaches of using the media to reach the public, thus providing the tools to transform our graduates into ace public relations professionals.
Public Relations is growing at an exponential rate, creating a tremendous opportunity for graduates in the field. A career in PR could take you to a corporate or non-profit communications or PR department, a political campaign or to the media itself.
If you are cool under pressure, a team player in solving problems, possess strong communication skills, and like to write, consider Champlain's Public Relations program.
One of the strengths that distinguishes this PR program from many other PR programs is its practical and "hands-on" nature, designed around the needs of career-minded students and the profession.
Learn to write eye-catching press releases and prepare media press kits. Practice how to creatively promote your product, person or group -- whether it's a rock band, a politician or a ski resort.
