Clinical Sites

Variety in clinical field experiences is one of the greatest assets of Champlain College's Radiography Program. Students rotate monthly to one of the clinical education centers in the greater Burlington area.

Fletcher Allen Healthcare MCHV Campus

Fletcher Allen Health Care is an academic medical center associated with the University of Vermont's Medical School as well as other allied health programs and includes 3 campuses with very different patient populations.

The MCHV campus is a level-one trauma center. Students here experience working in a busy emergency room and state-of-the-art surgical arena. The radiology department performs most of the fluoroscopic studies and integrates closely with a variety of intensive care units.

Fletcher Allen Healthcare UHC Campus

The UHC campus is primarily an out-patient imaging center. Here students experience working with patients that present a variety of orthopedic injuries and have an opportunity to observe in a busy mammography department.

Fletcher Allen Healthcare Fanny Allen Campus

The Fanny Allen campus houses a brand new rehabilitation center. Students work with a variety of patients from this center as well as from a walk-in care center and a sports medicine office.

Northwestern Medical Center

Northwestern Medical Center is a 70-bed community hospital that does it all! The facility has three radiographic rooms including state-of-the-art digital fluoroscopy and a satellite orthopedic clinic. A variety of radiologic imaging services are also available, including sonography, mammography, CT scanning and a mobile MR Imaging service.
