Woodbury College becomes Woodbury Institute of Champlain College

Woodbury Institute of Champlain CollegePlans to transfer the academic programs of Woodbury College to Champlain College were completed following more than two months of negotiations by officers of both institutions. The acquisition was finalized Sept. 19, 2008 by a vote of the Board of Trustees at both Champlain College and Woodbury College.

For more than thirty years, Woodbury College helped adults change their lives—and help their communities at the same time. Now, Woodbury Institute of Champlain College offers a challenging but supportive learning environment and convenient weekend or weekday schedules. (Full-time students attend classes just one-and-a-half to two days per week, and part-time schedules are available in most programs.) Woodbury now also offers several hands-on/online classes.

Woodbury Graduates

Woodbury graduates play essential roles in Vermont government, nonprofit activity, and the private sector. One graduate is now a Vermont Supreme Court Justice, another is director of the state Human Rights Commission, and a third is a family court judge. Other alumni are mainstays of the research departments of Vermont's largest law and insurance firms, advocates for children and families, coordinators of community justice programs, and mediators and consultants in private practice.
