An Entertainment Deal You Just Can’t Beat

Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in downtown BurlingtonThe Champlain College Student Government Association (SGA) and the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts offer $10 tickets to full-time undergraduate students for any Flynn Center-presented performance in the 2013-14 Season. The balance of the ticket cost is funded by the SGA, a Champlain College Cultural Access partnership that began last year. Just show your Champlain ID when purchasing tickets in person at the FlynnTix Regional Box Office to take advantage of this special offer.

"As the SGA evolved we were looking to support more meaningful student programming at Champlain," said former president of the SGA Adam Rowe ‘14, who initiated the Champlain College Cultural Access partnership last year. "President Finney approached us with the idea of supporting a Flynn Center program and it seemed in line with what we were looking for."

After some success with the program in its first term, benefiting both student programming and the Flynn Center, Rowe decided that the SGA would fund the partnership again for this academic year. "We can't wait to see more Champlain students at our shows this season - we've got some pretty awesome performances coming up," said Olivia Pratt, a senior at Champlain and programming intern at the Flynn Center, who hopes to drive more ticket sales to students this year.

The current SGA is still promoting the Cultural Access Partnership to support student programming. "Although still in its infancy, the program is a great way to expose Champlain students to the vibrant arts scene that the Flynn Center is providing for the greater Burlington area," continued Rowe.

The Flynn Center, located at 153 Main Street between Church and St. Paul Streets in the heart of downtown Burlington's entertainment district, is a nationally renowned performing arts venue offering the best in jazz, world music, dance, comedy, American roots music, Broadway tours, and more.
