Dr. Lindsey Godwin, Associate Professor of Management in the Stiller School of Business, is a keynote speaker at the 1st National Nepalese Conference on Appreciative Inquiry (AI) in Pokhara, Nepal. The conference, taking place Jan. 8-10, has been organized by Imagine Nepal, a non-political, non-profit social movement organization dedicated to helping create a positive future for the Nepalese.
Godwin worked closely with Imagine Nepal in 2009 when she was the Co-Chair for the World Appreciative Inquiry Conference held in Kathmandu, which included 400 people from 40 countries.
The conference is aimed at supporting the ongoing peace-building process happening in Nepal and will bring together AI practitioners throughout Nepal to share cases and best practices from the field.
For her keynote, Godwin will be drawing upon her work with the World Inquiry on Business as Agent of World Benefit and talking about the important role that socially responsible businesses can play in helping create a peaceful and flourishing society.
In addition to keynoting, she will also be working with participants, including members of Nepal's Constitution Assembly, to help begin planning a national AI summit to lift up voices from around the country to help inform the ongoing constitution writing process happening in Nepal.
