Francine Page Excellence in Teaching Award
The Francine Page Excellence in Teaching Award bears the name of an adjunct faculty member of the College community who has shown dedication to students and to the mission of Champlain College through a demonstration of excellence in teaching. Further, a person who has demonstrated a commitment to striving for excellence both in content expertise and pedagogically sound teaching and learning practices. The Francine Page Excellence in Teaching Award exemplifies these qualities and is named by the Board of Trustees.
The following faculty have received this award:
2011 - William Wheeler
Bill is the first recipient of this prestigious award. He began teaching at Champlain in the fall of 2001 and is the ideal example of "practitioner faculty". He has lived the commitment it takes to be a successful advertising executive and this experience resonates powerfully with his students. He is continually working to improve his teaching and has put in the effort necessary to make a successful transition from business professional to teacher.
