Dean's CCM Scholarship​ and Excel Award​ Nominations

CCM Gallery Exhibition

The Division of Communication and Creative Media has established nine (9) $1000 annual CCM Dean's Scholarships, and ten (10) annual CCM Excel Awards for eligible undergraduate and graduate students. Recipients were recognized at the Division's Honors Night on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Honorees could be nominated by themselves, by other CCM students and by CCM faculty.

CCM Dean's Scholarships

The CCM Dean's Scholarship honors an outstanding undergraduate student in each of the nine CCM undergraduate majors.

The $1000 scholarships will be awarded to returning students through direct disbursement to Champlain College Student Accounts for the following Fall semester. Scholarships can be applied toward any educational expenses including tuition, supplies, books or other instructional needs.

CCM Dean's Scholarships Nomination Criteria

  • Must be an undergraduate student who will be a returning student the following fall semester
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher preferred
  • Evidence of exemplary creative/scholarly work related to the major
  • Evidence of exceptional contributions to the CCM Division, Program, or College

CCM Excel Awards

The CCM Excel Awards honors an outstanding undergraduate senior in each of the CCM majors AND one outstanding graduate student in the Emergent Media MFA program. Recipients receive a monetary gift and memento.

CCM Excel Awards Nomination Criteria

  • Must be a graduating senior or a graduating MFA student
  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher preferred
  • Evidence of exemplary creative/scholarly work related to the major
  • Evidence of exceptional contributions to the CCM Division, Program, or College
  • Evidence of one or more of the following: study abroad, internship, or some other form of engagement with the discipline or community beyond the classroom.
