Centers of Experience

Champlain's Centers of Experience—on-campus learning centers with studio-like environments—provide you with the opportunity to work on professional, real-world projects starting in your first year of college.

By working with a Center of Experience, you will build a portfolio that includes real client work you can show off on your résumé. With all of your experience, you'll stand out among candidates for future internships and jobs.

Students across all divisions work together to publish books, launch businesses, develop games and applications, and assist clients from the public and private sectors with their cybersecurity needs and digital forensic investigations. Students in the Division of Information Technology & Sciences can test their knowledge and increase their skills in the Senator Patrick Leahy Center for Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity and the Emergent Media Center™.

The Senator Patrick Leahy Center for Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity is a world-class laboratory that provides undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to learn while providing client-based cybersecurity services and assisting law enforcement agencies with digital forensic investigations.

The Emergent Media Center (EMC) partners with businesses, public institutions, and nonprofits to create a studio environment where students can collaborate with each other, faculty, and clients to develop new concepts, processes, uses, and applications for games and other emergent media.
