Champlain Abroad Montreal comprises two buildings, including the Academic Center on 525 Rue Sherbrooke East, Bureau 2 and a residence hall. The Academic Center is in the heart of Montreal with easy access to top restaurants, shopping, and other universities. The historic academic building has three classrooms, a cutting edge computer lab, and three comfortable lounges for students to relax, eat and generally enjoy the social environment. There is plenty of space for study and academic work. The entire building has wireless internet and is exclusively for Champlain Abroad students.
Students studying at Champlain College Montréal live in the University du Québec a Montréal's (UQUAM's) international dorm which becomes an international hostel in the summer months. The fully-furnished, four-person suites, equipped with internet access and local phone service, consist of individual bedrooms, a kitchen, two shared bathrooms and a spacious living room.
The dorm is located at 2100 Rue Saint-Urban in the heart of Montréal, next to the metro station and about a fifteen minute walk to the Academic Center. Students get a chance to enhance their cultural experiences by living amongst a group of international students, giving you the opportunity to form friendships and connections with people from a variety of backgrounds.
Since the Champlain abroad experience provides the opportunity for students to live in a suite, or apartment style room, students will be expected to budget for meals. With the campus being so close to the heart of the city, you are within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and markets.
