Francis Curran is a graphic designer, brand consultant and art director. He has worked in the design and advertising industry since graduating from the College of Marketing and Design, Dublin in 1989 with a four year honors advanced diploma in Visual Communication Design.
As a graphic designer and art director his work has been recognized in industry awards ceremonies for a range of clients. In 2002 he founded Caught Outside Ltd., a graphic design project based around independent travel, surfing and t-shirts.
Francis has always had a strong interest in indigenous cultures and how they express themselves visually. His travels have taken him across five continents and to many of the world's heritage centres from Angkor Wat in Cambodia to Tikal Mayan Temple in Guatemala, to Salvador in Brazil and most recently on a photographic project for an Irish NGO to Kenya and Ethiopia. His photojournalism project on the fifth generation Irish community in Butte, Montana was featured in The Irish Times and a number of publications in the U.S..
