Shona is passionate about finding solutions to environmental problems. She acquired her B.Sc from the McGill wildlife biology program in Ste Anne de Bellevue. She recently completed her M.Sc in environmental management from the University of Stirling, in Scotland. Her Master's thesis focused on how Scottish municipalities can use awareness campaigns to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
She has previously worked as an environmental educator and has volunteered for such organizations as the World Wildlife Fund and the Sierra Club.
Shona has recently travelled to Sri Lanka, Germany, and Sweden. In her free time, she enjoys nature photography, hiking, and yoga.
