Jean French, Ph.D., is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems for a liberal arts university in the southeast. She has over a decade of teaching experience in the fields of business and computer / information systems in traditional, online, and hybrid environments at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Before transitioning full-time to academia, she held multiple management positions in the information technology field including the web manager for her university. Dr. French is also highly-trained in assessment and is a leader in the implementation and usage of online learning tools. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. French currently resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geosciences from Boston College (1995), an MBA from the University of Massachusetts / Boston (2000), and a Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University (2011).
She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance: Administration in Information Security from Nova Southeastern University while studying her Ph.D. She is a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the Association for Computer Machinery, a computer science academic honor society. She is published in the fields of computer science and information systems for both pedagogy and field research.
