Biography

A Massachusetts transplant, Kerry Shackett got hooked to Vermont after attending Saint Michael's College for her undergraduate education. Upon graduation, she received two degrees, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology—two worlds that have very indirect career paths. After working in a large marketing firm, the nonprofit sector and the public schools, Shackett slowly began to put her pieces of experience together to discover that career coaching was her true passion.

Currently, she works as Champlain College's Assistant Director of the Career Collaborative and Career Coach for the Division of Communication and Creative Media (CCM). She has received her Master's of Science degree in Executive Leadership and is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator. In her spare time, Shackett coaches the South Burlington High School Girl's Varsity Volleyball team, sits on the steering committee for the Burlington Young Professionals, and can usually be found next to her husband and dog with a craft beer in hand.
