Biography

Dr. Diane Ravenscroft's admiration of Psychology and how people relate has been shaped by being born Scotland, raised in Canada and spending more than half of her adult life in the United States. In addition to family, her primary passions include entrepreneurship, business/consumer and organizational psychology, and developmental psychology.

Diane has had the opportunity to develop her areas of expertise through an assortment of educational experiences and a variety of professional positions over the past twenty years.

Today, when not teaching at Champlain, Diane runs a successful consulting company where she helps businesses understand how to use the latest research on motivation, attitudes, behaviors, and decisions to improve their organizational dynamics. Amongst her impressive clients are such giants as Microsoft. Dr. Ravenscroft engages students by bringing her extensive work experience to the classroom and effectively intertwining real-life situations with course-work. You may meet her in your Developmental Psychology classes or her newly revised senior level course Applied Psychology: Healthy Organizations.
