Currently, John Rogate is the Program Director for the MS Degree in Managing Innovation in Information Technology (MSMIIT). This master's degree focuses on the effective use of information technology from a management and decision-making perspective. This depth of instruction will provide you with the skills and self-confidence to understand key enabling technologies and to assume a leadership role in one of an organization's most vital assets: information and the intellectual capital that it produces.

John Rogate earned a BA in English and Economics from Herbert H. Lehman College, and a master's degree in Information Systems Management from Iona College. He also earned Education Specialist Certification from Nova Southeastern University.  This was a PhD program where John is currently ABD.  

At Champlain, Rogate held several academic and administrative functions. In addition to teaching numerous classes, he created and served as the Program Director for the bachelor's program in Electronic Game Programming. He has been a major developer of the Champlain College Online programs. John is currently the Program Director for the MSMIIT Program (a Champlain College Graduate Program).

Before coming to Champlain, Rogate worked in the IT industry in a variety of capacities, from programmer and systems analyst to information systems manager. He spent 12 years with Digital Equipment Corporation, working in both manufacturing and sales and as an IT manager and senior consultant. Immediately prior to coming to Champlain, Rogate was president of Vermont Technology Exchange Company (VTEC), which provided both hardware and software solutions to businesses in Vermont and across New England. VTEC was listed as one of the top 100 companies in Vermont.
