Bob Simpson retired as Chittenden Count (Vermont) State's Attorney in 2006. As State's Attorney, he was ultimately responsible for prosecuting cases generated by more than 300 police officers. He has practiced law for more than 30 years.
Simpson began teaching evenings at Champlain College in 1990. He was named Program Director in 2007. Simpson teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Juvenile Justice, White-Collar Crime and the Law of Searching and Seizing Digital Evidence. He also teaches four of these courses "online" for the Division of Continuing Professional Studies at Champlain.
