Marc Wilhelm has developed a variety of successful game projects in game design, art and production roles. His professional work in development teams at industrial scale publisher/studios has resulted in the publication of numerous, award winning, premium-AAA PC & console titles.
Additionally, his experience with smaller and medium sized start-ups and incubators has led to innovative and successful web based, social and mobile projects, utilizing a variety of monetization strategies and models. Under the moniker 'Marc Von Wilhelm' and the banner of 'Fresh Aces Videogames', Marc self-publishes games independently. His solo-developed titles have been included in indie-game bundles and have earned praise from both critics and players.
In 2011, Marc founded the 'Colorado independent Game Developers Association' (CiGDA), successfully creating a diverse forum for artists, developers and musicians to discover and build a local, collaborative game-development community. The group encourages the pursuit of knowledge and expression by fostering a safe, supportive and inspiring development community. CiGDA believes in progressing the interactive arts to 'create good' in the community through events such as charity game jams & youth outreach.
Marc is currently Assistant Professor of Game Design at Champlain College's School of Communication & Media Arts. He attends game industry events such as the Game Developers Conference, DICE, IndieCade and regularly participates in local and global game jams.
