Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher Education Curriculum

This major lets you choose from two curriculum paths: (1) a dual endorsement in Early Childhood (ages 3 through 8) and Elementary Education (kindergarten through grade 6); or (2) a dual endorsement in Early Childhood (birth through age 8) and Elementary Education (kindergarten through grade 6).

Both tracks prepare you to

  • meet the developmental needs of students
  • structure the learning environment to achieve age-appropriate learning outcomes
  • integrate technology into the classroom.
  • graduate eligible for licensure in the state of Vermont, which is recognized by 47 additional states.

Our Upside-Down Curriculum allows you to begin taking your Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher Education classes beginning in your first semester. By the time you finish your first year, you will have taken upward of five courses related to your major! See full curriculum below.
