Focused Areas of Study For Marketing Majors
Through deep curriculum offerings in highly specialized areas of study, you can tailor your Marketing major to gain a high degree of specific, marketable technical expertise.
Specializations are an optional part of your Marketing major and may be taken in tandem with other elective Marketing courses and/or a minor. Your faculty advisor in the Robert P. SPECIALIZATIONS IN THE MARKETING MAJOR
- The Digital & Interactive Marketing specialization will teach how to effectively utilize current digital tools, measure effectiveness and successfully start, and manage and maintain online communities for a brand.
- The Integrated Advertising specialization will study many different types of successful and unsuccessful advertising campaigns throughout history, and will plan, research and implement an advertising campaign from scratch that will encompass different media, reach a specific audience and make an impact.
- The specialization in Public Relations will teach the importance of communicating effectively with the media- from traditional news organizations to popular bloggers-to get your message out to a wide population.
- The Self-Designed specialization will provide you with the opportunity to create your own specialization based on your interest area as it fits in the marketing profession.
