The Literature specialization is an optional part of the Secondary Teacher Education program. Intended for students with a Social Studies concentration, the Literature specialization will give students a foundation in literature, allowing them to have a well-rounded education. Your faculty advisor in the Division of Education & Human Studies will help you map out the best academic path to reach your desired career and/or graduate studies goals.
The important skills you develop through the Literature specialization sequence of courses will give you a tremendous advantage in the marketplace when you begin your job search—the knowledge students gain is valued by schools and graduate programs because students learn how to express themselves clearly and concisely.
