An Optional Specialization for Business Administration Majors

From contracts to business organization to employment law, the Business Law specialization will teach you how to navigate legal challenges.

This specialization is well suited for the student who wants to explore more fully the legal side of business and who plans on working as a business manager in a small to medium-sized business or a non-profit organization.

In the Business Law specialization for Business Administration majors, you will:

  • Learn how to navigate legal challenges.
  • Draft and analyze basic commercial loan documentation.
  • Prepare all documents required for real estate closings, examine title insurance documentation, and learn methods for establishing and releasing liens on real property.
  • Draft and file proofs of claims and other documents for bankruptcy cases.
  • Study environmental law.
  • Learn about International law.
