Network Administration

All students in the Computer Networking & Cybersecurity program must select a focus area of study to complete their degree. Students can choose one of the many minors offered, or they can specialize in Cybersecurity or Network Administration.

The Network Administration specialization focuses on network administration from small companies to the corporate level. Students who complete this specialization will gain key competencies for running an enterprise-level network information system and its components, including:

  • Designing
  • Implementing
  • Analyzing
  • Maintaining
  • Protecting

In this 15-credit specialization, students use hands-on lab opportunities to gain proficiency in:

  • systems administration functions
  • networks and network services configurations
  • security from desktop to enterprise
  • LAN and WAN technology and protocols.
