The Game Programming Major Puts You In A Pattern of Success
The Upside-Down Curriculum and our extensive opportunities for hands-on experience give Champlain's Game Programming grads a serious advantage when pursuing the jobs they want most upon graduation.
100% of the graduates from the class of 2012 in the Game Programming major report that they are working in a position relevant to their career goals.
Champlain College's Career Services Office surveyed alumni a year after graduation. The purpose was to find out how job searches were going, how seniors were finding jobs and who needed assistance. The results:
- Approximately 93% of those who responded from the Class of 2013 found employment within a year of graduating.
- 90% of the graduates who had jobs indicated that their jobs were related to their career goals.
- When asked what had a substantial impact on the success of the job search, 40% of the employed graduates indicated that they had already worked for the employer, organization or person. Internships, relevant contract work and part-time positions open doors for students
- 93% of those who responded from the Class of 2013 indicated that they had held "career-relevant" internships, field experience, or full-or part-time jobs before graduation.
