An Optional Specialization for International Business Majors

Through the Development specialization, you will acquire a broader cultural perspective through examination of the key components of culture, develop an analytical framework for interpreting and predicting socio-economic and geopolitical events, and understand exactly how goods and services are moved from one country to another.

  • Utilize entrepreneurial practices in driving positive social change and learn how to best market this change.
  • Focus on the influences exerted by culture and cultural change on individuals and groups.
  • Engage in an integrated Service Learning project where they will help a non-profit with their marketing efforts.
  • Examine the awareness of the complex link between international politics and economics.
  • Learn how to use federal, state and local import/export resources to increase business capacity.
