Film Management

An Optional Specialization for Management of Creative Media Majors

Students who choose to specialize in Film Management will learn to navigate the evolving landscape of digital production; study the history of film as an art form, an industry and a cultural institution; explore video cinematography techniques for both the studio and the field; and learn about the distinctions between film and the business aspects of the industry.

  • Gain hands on experience as you collaborate with other students to produce short works; learning the use of lighting equipment; and gaining skills in audio and video recording, digitizing and editing.
  • Develop a knowledge base that will make you stand out in an increasingly media oriented world where employers are looking for new ways to give their companies that extra kick.
