With Champlain's 15-credit minor in finance, you will:

  • Study the financial activities of businesses, and their relationships to other facets of their organization.
  • Learn key microeconomic principles such as supply and demand, non-quantifiable costs, externalities and general economic thinking.
  • Gain skills and knowledge in organizational form, taxes, financial analysis, budgeting, cost-volume-profit relationships, capital expenditures and management of current assets.

CFA-Recognized Program

Champlain's Bachelor of Science in Finance has been accepted into the CFA Institute's University Recognition Program. This status is granted to institutions whose degree programs incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Program's Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), while providing students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positioning them well to sit for the CFA exams.
