Champlain continually evaluates its curriculum to meet the needs of students and the demands fo business and industry. Some recent initiatives include:

BYOBiz
The BYOBiz program - featured on public radio's Marketplace business report - helps young entrepreneurs grow their businesses while earning their degrees.

CENTER FOR DIGITAL INVESTIGATION
The Center of Digital Investigation provides undergraduate and faculty research opportunities to advance the field of digital investigation practice, with a particular focus on law enforcement and the public sector. The Center brings national industry experts to campus to interact with students and local professionals, while simultaneously serving Vermont and the Northeast region as a source of information.

THE CENTER FOR SERVICE AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
The Center for Service and Civic Engagement provides the encouragement, resources and training that allows students, faculty and staff to connect with the community - on local, national and global levels - through leadership, service, mentorship, partnership, reflection and dialogue.

THE EMERGENT MEDIA CENTER
The Emergent Media Center is focused on educating students in the emergent media fields, particularly electronic game development. The Center utilizes project-based learning, industry partnerships, academic exchanges, and promotion and development of ‘serious games' with educational content. The Center will play a critical role in the establishment of a study-abroad campus in Montreal.

Scholarships

Champlain College has a long-term commitment to providing as much financial assistance to its students as possible. Key scholarships include:

ACCOUNTING EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP
The Accounting Excellence Scholarship is a permanent fund recently established as a tribute to the College's distinguished Accounting faculty, who collectively have over 200 years of service at Champlain, and to support exceptional Accounting students.

NEW AMERICAN STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
The New American Student Scholarship provides grants up to the full cost of tuition for qualified refugee students.

SINGLE PARENTS SCHOLARSHIP
The Single Parents Scholarship provides aid up to the full cost of tuition for qualified single parent students.

SUPPORT-A-STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
The Support-A-Student Scholarship provides general need-based assistance.

VERMONT FIRST SCHOLARSHIP
The Vermont First Scholarship provides financial assistance to qualified Vermont students whose parents did not attend college.
