This year will undoubtedly be filled with plenty of planning and celebrations. To help you keep on top of the details, please refer to the checklist below:

  • Meet with your advisor to make sure you are on track for graduation.

  • Check your degree audit to ensure it accurately reflects the courses you still need to complete and nothing else.

  • Achieve the required 2.0 QPA requirement.

  • Submit your Application for Graduation Form (go to my.champlain.edu - log into WebAdvisor - Student Section - and click on the "Application for Graduation" link).

    Application Deadlines:

    • November 1 for May Grads

    • May 1 for August Grads

    • August 1 for December Grads

  • Verify that all of your transfer credits from other institutions are posted in Web Advisor. If not, have an official transcript sent to the Admissions Office immediately for processing.

  • Check your local address and email address on Web Advisor. If they are not up to date, you will not receive important information regarding graduation.

  • Verify that you are listed correctly on the Application for Graduation screen accessible via WebAdvisor.

  • Ask faculty or staff members for letters of recommendation now. (It's easier to ask them ahead rather than asking them to meet a tight timeline.)

  • Draft your resume and have a Career Planning Advisor provide you feedback for improvement, so you can put your best foot forward.

  • Attend Career Planning's job fairs and workshops on job search strategies.

  • Return any borrowed library books.

  • Make sure your bill is in good standing with the Student Accounts Office.

  • Make hotel and dinner reservations for graduation weekend. Plan ahead.
