Registration FAQs
Q. Where do I find my Academic Evaluation/Degree Audit?
A. Do it in 5 easy steps:
- Log on to my.champlain.edu
- Click on the "WebAdvisor" link
- Click on the "Students" tab
- Under Academic Profile, click on the "Program Evaluation" link
- Select the appropriate program and click "Submit!"
Q. May I take an online class in the Fall or Spring semesters?
A. Undergraduate online courses are offered to address the specific educational needs of students enrolled through the College's Division of Continuing Professional Studies (CPS). Students who are enrolled through the traditional admissions office of the College are permitted to register for online courses on an exception basis using the following criteria:
- Students who are 23 or older.
- Education majors who are in their final semester and are student teaching.
- Students in internships at such a distance from the College that they are prevented from taking courses on campus, with permission of CPS and the student's Dean.
- Students participating in a Study Abroad semester, with permission of CPS and the student's Dean.
- Required courses for traditional majors that are only offered in the online format, and have been approved by the Deans of CPS and the appropriate academic division (BUS, CCM, IT&S and EHS).
Q. May I take an online class in the Summer semester?
A. Yes. all students are permitted to take online classes during the Summer semester.
Q. I'm graduating soon, anything special I need to do?
A. Yes! All graduating students must apply for graduation by submitting an Application for Graduation form. Graduation application deadlines are as follows:

Q. Is there a late registration fee?
A. There is a late registration fee for the Fall and Spring semesters. Current Fall 2011 full- time students who do not register for Fall classes by October 31st will be CHARGED A $200.00 LATE REGISTRATION FEE.
Q. Is there a late registration fee for the Summer semester?
A. There is NO late registration fee for Summer semester.
Q. Is someone available to help me during registration?
A. Yes. Staff will be available to assist students at the Perry Enrollment Services counter from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Q. What will prevent me from registering?
A. Here are 2 possible reasons...
- Any of the "holds" below need to be cleared prior to registering. Contact the offices below to determine if you have a "hold" on your account.

Health Immunization Hold - Health Services - Whiting Hall (802-860-2711). - If you are required to register via the Student Ed Plan and have not obtained Faculty Advisor approval of the course(s) you have selected.
Q. What is the "Worksheet"?
A. The Worksheet allows you to plan what courses you would like to take in upcoming semesters. You can select the courses you need from your Program Evaluation, find available sections, and register for them directly from your worksheet!
Q. May I access web registration before my registration window opens?
A. Yes! You can use Search for Sections or your Worksheet to view available sections. We encourage you to add classes to your Worksheet prior to your registration window opening. Once your registration window opens this will streamline your registration process.
Q. How do I change my schedule after I register?
A. You will be able to change your schedule through WebAdvisor.
Q. In what order are registration windows assigned?
A. Full-time students are assigned a specific day and time to register, based upon the number of credit hours earned.
Q. Are registration windows assigned for Summer?
A. No. Summer registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q. How can I confirm my registration went through?
A. View "My class schedule" from the Student menu of WebAdvisor. Then select the appropriate term. What you see is what you are in.
Q. I know all my course and section numbers and don't need to search for anything. How do I quickly add them all?
A. If you know your course and section numbers you may use the Express Registration screen to register for 5+ sections at a time.
Q. I'm a FT student that will be PT next semester. What do I do?
A. If registering for less than 12 credits, you will be contacted by Advising and Registration via your MyMail account with the necessary information to resolve your bill to complete your registration.
Q. I'm on a Waitlist, am I guaranteed to get a space eventually?
A. No. If space becomes available, you will be notified via your MyMail account. See the Waitlist page for additional details: Waitlist Information
Q. Is there a limit to the number of credits I may take per semester?
A. Yes. During the Fall or Spring semester you must receive special permission to take more than 18 credits per semester. Please contact your Academic Advisor for more information. During the Summer semester approval is required for students wishing to take more than two courses or seven credits (whichever is greater) in either condensed summer session.
