Alumni Awards

The Alumni Relations Office is looking for leaders—graduates of Champlain College who have shown strong leadership and success in their careers, outstanding service to the community or other notable accomplishments. If you know of someone who deserves recognition, please let us know by nominating them using the form below!

Lifetime Service Award*: Awarded to an alumnus/a who has rendered outstanding service to Champlain College or to the larger community through notable volunteerism, selflessness, humanitarianism, and/or philanthropy and who has shown strong and sustained leadership as a Champlain alumnus/a.

Career Achievement Award*: Awarded to an alumnus/a who has demonstrated a clear commitment to excellence in his or her career and made unique and significant contributions to his/her profession that positively reflect Champlain's vision and values.

Audeamus...Let Us Dare Alumni Award: Award recipient chosen in collaboration with Faculty. Awarded to an alumnus/a who embodies the Let Us Dare motto and the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of Champlain College.

Presidential Alumni Awards: Awarded to one or to a number of alumni who demonstrate success that reflects Champlain's professional and community-oriented values.  Must have distinguished themselves in one or more of the following areas: professional career, service to humanity, or service to Champlain College. The Presidential Awards will be named after the president who served during the award recipient's time at Champlain. 

  • C. Bader Brouilette Alumni Award: President from 1956-1976
  • Robert A. Skiff Alumni Award: President from 1977-1991
  • Roger H. Perry Alumni Award: President from 1992-2004
  • David F. Finney Alumni Award: President from 2005-2014
  • Donald J. Laackman Alumni Award: President from 2014 onwards
  • President's Alumni Award: Awarded to a recent graduate (2005 onwards)

Legacy Family Award*: Awarded to a family where more than one generation attended Champlain. Alumni must have demonstrated successes that reflect Champlain's professional and community-oriented values. Family should have a record of supporting the College by attending events, mentoring or volunteering, and by demonstrating philanthropic support.

All Award recipients should have a record of supporting the College by attending events, mentoring or volunteering, and by demonstrating philanthropic support, and should be available to attend the Awards Ceremony in person.

Awards marked with an asterisk (*) need not be given yearly.
