Champlain College's Bring Your Own Business Program: BYOBiz

Leaders Circle Dinner

Champlain’s BYOBiz Program took center stage at this year’s Leaders Circle Dinner, which  assembles Champlain College trustees, administration, friends, faculty and staff each November to celebrate College initiatives. Numerous BYOBiz student and alumni entrepreneurs attended. Four told their stories and described their businesses: first-year student Janey Hair (Rosey Pink, a cosmetic line for tweens and teens), juniors Russell Martin and James Lennon (Imag3, a lifestyle apparel brand inspired by a creative passion for all forms of riding), and first-year student Jonathan Fischer, whose Speed Demon is a GPS-based tracking device for parents of teenage drivers.

Directed by Robert Bloch, former senior corporate executive and successful entrepreneur, BYOBiz gives student entrepreneurs who have a business or an idea for a business the opportunity to receive strategic, financial, marketing, operational and managerial advice
