Fullbright Teaching Assistantships in Korea, Austria, and more: Fullbright Is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide.

EPIK-English Program in Korea: Purpose of EPIK is to foster primary and secondary students' communication ability in the age of information and globalization, provide English conversation training to English teachers, developing English textbooks and teaching materials, improve and expand English teaching methodologies, and encourage cultural awareness.

JET Program - Japan Exchange and Teaching Program: The Japan Exchange and Teaching Program seeks to help enhance internationalization in Japan by promoting mutual understanding between Japan and other nations. The program aims to enhance foreign language education in Japan, and to promote international exchange at the local level through fostering ties between Japanese youth and foreign youth.

American Assistantships in France: The French Ministry of Education and the Cultural Services at the French Embassy offer approximately 1,500 teaching assistant positions in French primary and secondary schools as well as in various French teaching colleges — otherwise known as the "Instituts universitaires de formation des maîtres (IUFM) — in all regions of France and the DOM-TOMS

Teach in Asia: For more than three decades, the AEON Corporation of Japan has been an innovator in the field of English education, offering exceptional classroom and internet opportunities to study and master the language. Founded in 1973, AEON has grown to become one of the largest and most respected private educational institutes of its kind, with more than 3,000 employees.

Service Opportunities

City Year: As a corps member, you will commit to a minimum of 1,700 hours of service over a 10-month period from late August to the middle of June. City Year's mission is to build democracy through citizen service, civic leadership and social entrepreneurship.
Deadline: There are four admissions deadlines: late November, mid-Febuary, mid-April, and late May.

Americorps: AmeriCorps is a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet our country's critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment. AmeriCorps members serve with more than 2,000 nonprofits, public agencies, and faith-based and community organizations. Since 1994, more than 400,000 men and women have provided needed assistance to millions of Americans across the nation through their AmeriCorps service.
Deadline: Ongoing

Teach for America: Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates of all academic majors who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools and become leaders in the effort to expand educational opportunity.
Deadlines: There are four deadlines throughout the year; late September, early November, early January, mid-February.

Peace Corps: In 1961, President John F. Kennedy established the Peace Corps to promote world peace and friendship. Peace Corps has established partnerships with colleges and universities across the United States that offer academic credit and financial incentives to Volunteers during or after Peace Corps service. Master's International allows you to incorporate Peace Corps service into a master's degree program at more than 40 colleges and universities. And our Fellows/USA program offers returned Volunteers scholarships or reduced tuition at more than 30 participating schools.
Deadline: No deadline, submit application at any time.

New York Teaching Fellowship: The NYC Teaching Fellows are people like you - accountants, nurses, recent graduates, chief executives, secretaries, artists, reporters, and retirees - who have decided to change their lives and teach in the classrooms that need teachers most. The majority of Fellows enter the program with little or no teaching experience.
Deadline for midyear program: Round 1, late June. Round 2, mid-July. Round 3, mid-August.

Student Conservation Association: SCA is a nationwide force of high school and college-age volunteers who are committed to protecting and preserving the environment. This agency offers excellent temporary positions as a Crew Manager or Site Manager so that you can travel to one of more than 425 sites across the US in order to complete service trips that will protect and preserve the environment.
Deadline: No deadline, application can be sent in at any time.
