Ellen Emery: TAP Director

Ellen received her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont in both Spanish and Math and her M.Ed from Saint Michael's College. Following her 17 years as a classroom teacher in the Essex Junction school system and her 10 years as the district-wide new teacher mentor program coordinator, Ellen brings a exceptional level of expertise in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to the TAP Program. She is passionate about working with pre-service and novice teachers! Most recently, Ellen has participated actively in the development of the new teacher licensure portfolio for the State of Vermont.

Jennifer Luck: TAP Instructor

Jen received her BA in Secondary Education and Spanish from St. Michael's College and her MA in Spanish Language from Middlebury College. She has taught Spanish at Essex High School for 16 years and has mentored several TAP interns and new teachers during her tenure there. Jen also served as a Teacher Leader at EHS for three years and has recently added her Vermont Administrator endorsement to her teaching license. She is passionate about engaging learning opportunities for all students and brings a high level of expertise in the areas of planning, instruction and assessment to TAP.

Jane Goodman - Field Supervisor

Jane worked in th Chittenden Central Supervisory Union for 37 years. She was a teacher, Department Chair, and founder of the Teacher Apprenticeship Program. Jane has worked extensively with new and veteran educators in a variety of roles and mentorships.
