Compare your leadership style to that of the most talented and inspirational leaders you have encountered. Are there areas where further development and practice could help you achieve personal leadership excellence? Executive leadership development is an essential step to developing your full potential as a leader.
Through experience, education and attention to the three key elements of self, skills and relationships, you can learn how to truly listen; to use integrative and strategic thinking; and to create new, innovative solutions through the synthesis of divergent ideas and concepts - the essential steps to developing an effective leadership practice.
Champlain College and The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce have combined their extensive knowledge and resources to create the ExcEL: Excellence in Executive Leadership program - a unique and transformative professional growth opportunity that will prepare you to become an effective leader.
THE EXCEL PROGRAM
ExcEL consists of four, 2-day "intensives" held over four months. During each intensive, you will examine the keys to successful leadership in a cohort of your peers. Learn to develop an effective leadership practice through relevant, engaged interaction with your cohort, leadership education delivered by executive coaches and experts, and activities designed to propel you professionally through an examination of your personal leadership style and performance.
EXCEL IS BUILT ON THREE CORE ELEMENTS:
- Strengthening Emotional Intelligence
- Building Strategic Capacity
- Influencing Systems
Who should enroll in EXCEL?
Attendance is reserved for senior leaders with demonstrated leadership experience in Vermont companies and organizations and who have strong potential to assume top leadership positions in their organizations.
The success of ExcEL depends largely on the dynamic of the cohort. In order to ensure you will be part of a strong cohort of engaged peers, the size of the cohort is limited to 25, and all candidates will be evaluated in a competitive selection process. The strength of your organization's support of your candidacy will also be a factor.
