BiographyAdam Walker started working at the Emergent Media Center in April 2012. His primary responsibilities expanded from managing the ViewBoost project (an iPhone App) to overseeing several other projects at the EMC, including the Ford Foundation WealthWorks game. This resulted in a promotion in November 2012 to Senior Technical Project Manager, a position that involves hiring and mentoring students, vetting projects for development, and nurturing client relationships.
A graduate of St. Lawrence University, he has since travelled a circuitous path from biology and agricultural science to video production and web development. He has been in freelance video production since 2000, having coordinated production for RETN channel 16 and various other local outlets. In 2008, he started Walker Run Productions with a focus on event coverage and documentary shorts. Alongside his video work, he worked as a project manager for Darim Online (non-profit web developer) and Jvillage Network (local web start-up).
Raised in Montpelier, Adam developed an affinity for hiking, canoeing, and Nordic skiing throughout Vermont, New England, the Adirondacks and beyond. He and his wife live in Burlington and encourage their young daughter to actively participate in the Vermont outdoor experience year-round.
