Chris Vermette

Network Administrator

Chris Vermette is a first year student from Scarborough, Maine majoring in Computer Networking and Information Security at Champlain College. Chris works as a Student Worker at LCDI where he is involved in Network Administration. Currently Chris is working on maintaining the order of the network and its users.

Besides his work at LCDI Chris is part of the CNIS club and is taking an extra class based on Arduinos. In that class he is currently building and programming his own backup sensor for his car. Chris has interned for a healthcare company called Martin's Point Health Care, and worked with the helpdesk on numerous tasks throughout the company. Chris is Cisco Home and Small Business certified through CCNA.

Chris picked CNIS because he love technology and networking is a constantly changing field and he loves new things and staying on top of the latest and greatest. He chose Champlain College because it offered the best style of teaching for him which was more hands on and actually involved taking classes in my major from the start. He would like to do more work on securing networks from attacks and general threats. Chris' ultimate goal is to one day work for the NSA, but he will follow whatever opportunities arise for him up until that point.
